The quartz tube cap holder is a genuine structural part of the Elecro UV steriliser, which mechanically fixes the cap in the UV module assembly and provides sufficient pressure for reliable sealing. Without a properly functioning holder, there is a risk of the cap coming loose and water leaking into the area of the UV lamp.
The part is made from a durable material capable of withstanding UV radiation, moisture and the temperatures near the UV lamp. Its replacement is part of the service protocol when disassembling the UV steriliser to replace the lamp or the quartz tube.
