The Mr.Silence Red/Blue heat exchanger seal is an original rubber or silicone seal intended for the contact point between the titanium exchanger and the hydraulic circuit of the heat pump. It prevents the penetration of pool water into the refrigeration circuit and vice versa, thereby protecting both parts of the system from contamination and damage.
The seal material is resistant to temperatures typical of heat pump operation, the chemical composition of pool water and the aggressive environment of refrigeration media. The precise dimensions ensure correct seating without the need for additional sealing.
Replacement of the seal is primarily recommended each time the exchanger is dismantled or when a leak is detected at the connection point. The cost of this small part is negligible compared to the cost of a repair caused by a long-term leak – regular seal inspection is part of the preventive maintenance of the heat pump.
