The electronic ballast is the control and power supply unit of the Elecro 30W UV lamp, which ensures the correct starting of the lamp and regulates its operating current throughout the entire period of operation.
Wear or failure of the ballast manifests itself in the UV lamp not igniting or flickering, even though the lamp is not yet at the end of its service life – replacing the ballast is a cheaper repair than replacing the entire steriliser.
The ballast is designed exclusively for 30W UV lamps of the Elecro series and guarantees compatibility with the original installation of the steriliser.
A correctly functioning ballast is a prerequisite for delivering the correct dose of UV radiation for effective disinfection of the pool water without the use of chemicals.
