The impeller cover seal is a key replacement part for Kapri and Karpa counter-current pumps. The precisely manufactured seal made of chemically resistant rubber or elastomer seals the parting plane between the impeller housing and the cover, thereby preventing water leakage under pressure.
The seal material is resistant to chlorine, disinfectants, ozone and the temperature fluctuations typical of pool operation. A correctly fitted seal guarantees maximum pressure resistance of the hydraulic section without the need for sealing compounds.
Replacement of the seal is recommended whenever the hydraulic section of the pump is disassembled or immediately upon detecting water leakage in the area of the flange joint. The original part guarantees precise dimensions and optimal sealing properties for the given type of pump.
