The gasket for the COFIES 300W light flange is a rubber sealing ring or profile gasket ensuring a watertight connection between the luminaire body and the flange of the mounting niche in the pool wall. Without a functional gasket, there is a risk of water penetrating the electrical part of the light, causing a short circuit and damage to the entire luminaire.
The sealing material is resistant to chlorinated water, UV radiation, temperature fluctuations and mechanical compression when tightening the flange connection. Replacement of the gasket is recommended whenever the luminaire is removed from the pool for servicing or when cloudiness of the water inside the light is detected.
Installation is simple — the old gasket is removed, the seating surface of the flange connection is cleaned and the new gasket is fitted before reinstalling the luminaire. A properly sealed COFIES 300W light guarantees safe and long operation without the risk of electrical hazard.
