Pre-filter Basket for Kapri Pump

The pre-filter basket for the Kapri pump is an original spare part designed to easily capture leaves, insects and other coarse dirt from the inlet water before it passes through the pump impeller. The basket protects the mechanical parts of the pump from damage and clogging.

The part is made of durable polypropylene, which is chemically resistant to chlorinated and brominated pool water and the temperatures of normal pool operation. The dense mesh of the basket captures even small solid particles while minimally restricting water flow.

Replacing the basket is simple – just unscrew the pre-filter lid, remove and clean or replace the basket and close the lid again. Regular inspection and cleaning of the basket is a basic maintenance task for every pool pump.
