The Elecro H.R. electric flow switch is a safety sensor for UV pool water sterilisers that monitors the water flow through the reactor and signals to the control electronics whether it is safe to operate the UV lamp. Without sufficient flow, the UV lamp would overheat the reactor and could permanently damage it.
The Elecro H.R. switch is designed for long-term operation in pool pipework and withstands pool chemistry and the pressure in the circulation circuit. The electrical output of the switch connects directly to the steriliser’s control electronics and ensures automatic switching of the UV lamp on and off according to flow.
Replacing the flow switch is appropriate during a service inspection of the steriliser or when the system reports a flow fault even though the pump is running normally. The original Elecro part guarantees correct sensor sensitivity and safe operation of the entire UVC sterilisation system.
