The seal under the MTS SSL300 light flange is a precisely shaped rubber or silicone ring that seals the gap between the light flange and the pool wall. Without a functional seal, there is a risk of water seeping into the installation niche, an electrical short circuit and damage to the pool structure.
The original dimensions of the seal correspond exactly to the specification of the MTS SSL300 light and guarantee proper compression and sealing when the flange screws are tightened. The material withstands chlorinated water, ozone and the temperatures typical of pool operation.
The seal should always be replaced when the light is removed from the pool – reusing an old, compressed seal increases the risk of leakage. We recommend entrusting the installation to a professional service company.
