The Meytec Next Gen ORP (oxidation-reduction potential, Rx) probe measures the instantaneous disinfecting capacity of pool water. The optimal ORP value for hygienically safe pool water lies in the range of 650–750 mV – based on this measurement, automatic dosing stations regulate the supply of chlorine or another disinfectant.
The measuring range of 0–2000 mV covers both under-chlorinated (low ORP) and over-chlorinated (high ORP) states of the pool water. The 3 m cable and standard BNC connector ensure easy connection to existing regulators and controllers.
The platinum measuring electrode is resistant to chlorine, bromine chemistry and UV radiation and, with proper maintenance, will last several seasons. The probe is an ideal complement to the Meytec Next Gen pH probe for complete online monitoring of the chemical state of pool water.
