The electrolytic cell 7P is the heart of the salt chlorination unit – on its titanium electrodes coated with ruthenium-iridium oxide, the electrolysis of salt into gaseous chlorine takes place, which disinfects the water. The designation NPS 30/160 expresses the output and dimensional standard of the manufacturer Pool-technologie.
The service life of the electrodes is limited (usually 5–8 years with correct operation), so replacing the cell is the most economical solution after the warranty period has expired, without the need to invest in an entire salt chlorination unit. After installing a new cell, the unit’s output is immediately restored to its original values.
Installation requires disconnecting the power, unscrewing the supply pipework, removing the old cell and installing the new one, including checking the seal. We recommend having the installation carried out by a service technician. The cell is intended exclusively for Pool-technologie salt chlorination units with an NPS connector.
