The hydrostatic valve is a protective device installed in the pool floor that opens under excessive groundwater pressure. Without this valve, an empty pool risks the so-called floating pool effect – the lifting of the entire basin by the pressure of groundwater.
The valve activates automatically when the weight of the water in the pool drops below a critical value and allows groundwater to enter the pool instead of lifting the structure. After the pool is refilled, the valve closes by itself.
It is installed in the pool floor during construction and is compatible with standard pipe systems. An essential accessory for pools in areas with a high groundwater level or for winterisation with water draining.
