The clamp is a clamping bracket designed for Praher brand 6-way pool filtration valves. Its function is to mechanically secure the valve lid to the body and thus maintain the pressure seal across the entire range of operating pressures.
It is sold as a separate piece, so it can easily be obtained as a direct replacement for a damaged or lost clamp without the need to replace the entire valve. Installation requires no special tools.
