The EPDM gasket for a flanged collar d250 is a shaped flat gasket intended for flanged joints of PVC pipe with a diameter of 250 mm. A correctly seated gasket prevents water leakage at the flange even at higher operating pressure.
EPDM material (ethylene propylene diene rubber) is resistant to chlorinated water, ozone, UV radiation and temperatures ranging from −40 °C to +120 °C, so it retains its elasticity and sealing ability throughout the pool’s service life. Unlike NBR, EPDM exhibits no creep or hardening on contact with oxidising disinfectants.
The gasket is fitted between the face surfaces of the collars without the need for liquid sealants; it is sufficient to tighten the flange bolts appropriately according to the assembly documentation of the valve or fitting manufacturer.
