The 12 µF capacitor is an electrical component essential for starting and running single-phase asynchronous electric motors. In pool equipment it is most often used in pumps, blowers and other electrically driven devices.
A faulty capacitor manifests itself by the motor humming but not starting, or starting with difficulty or with increased current. Replacing the capacitor is usually a cheaper alternative to buying a new pump.
The TME capacitor meets the required parameters for operation in the electrical distribution panel of pool equipment. Before replacement we recommend verifying the capacity of the original capacitor (in µF), which must match the value on the motor exactly.
