The Filtreau Pool Basic 40 W UV-C lamp is the more powerful version of the Pool Basic steriliser, equipped with a Philips lamp with a wavelength of 253.7 nm and an output suitable for pools with a higher flow rate. It eliminates bacteria, viruses, fungi and other microorganisms without producing harmful by-products.
The polished aluminium housing with an interior mirror finish reflects UV radiation back into the flow tube, so every water molecule is exposed to the radiation for longer. The resulting UV sterilisation efficiency is 35 % higher than that of standard bodies of the same output.
The wider cross-section of the body keeps the pressure loss as water passes through to a minimum, so neither the flow of the pool circuit nor the performance of the pump is reduced. The lamp is installed directly into the circulation pipework and requires no special power supply or control unit.
