The Cl Total replacement reagent is intended for replenishing the reagents in the Pool Tester or the PICCO CL2/pH/O3 colorimeter when measuring total chlorine in pool water. Total chlorine includes both free chlorine and combined chlorine (chloramines), and the ratio between them indicates the effectiveness of the chlorine disinfection.
The pack contains a supply of reagents for at least 200 individual determinations. Regular monitoring of total and free chlorine reveals the formation of chloramines, which cause irritation of the skin and eyes and an unpleasant odour.
The reagent is compatible with the Pool Tester and the PICCO CL2/pH/O3 colorimeter. The colour reaction is easily compared with the enclosed scale and provides a result within an instant without the need for laboratory equipment.
