The ESPA pump body seal is a shared flat sealing component for the IRIS, Silen I and NOX models, located in the parting plane between the front and rear sections of the pump body.
A properly functioning seal prevents water from leaking out of the pump at operating pressure and prevents air from entering the suction side of the hydraulics.
A worn or damaged seal manifests itself as wet patches or dripping around the pump’s parting plane.
Replacement is easy — after releasing the clamps or screws joining the body halves, simply replace the seal and reassemble the parts.
The material withstands chlorinated water and the standard range of pool chemicals throughout the operating cycle.
