The seal for the impeller cover (diffuser) of the Badu Bettar pump is a flat ring seal measuring 98×5 mm, located in the parting plane between the diffuser and the pump body.
Its main function is to prevent the internal bypassing of water from the pressure side back to the suction side of the pump, which would reduce flow and efficiency.
When this seal wears, the result is a drop in flow, an increase in pump temperature and higher electricity consumption.
Replacement takes place when dismantling the diffuser, which does not require disconnecting the pump from the pipework — simply unscrew the diffuser fastening screws.
The original 98×5 mm dimension guarantees a precise fit and immediate tightness after installation, with no further adjustment needed.
