The impeller housing is a hydraulic component that shapes the area around the impeller of the 08003 pump and directs water to the rotor blades in an optimal way. A damaged or cracked housing causes a drop in flow and increased pump noise.
The part is made of chemically resistant plastic, which withstands long-term contact with chlorinated pool water. Replacing the impeller housing restores the hydraulic parameters of the counter-current pump without the need to purchase an entirely new unit.
Installation involves removing the front cover of the pump and directly replacing the housing with the new part. When replacing the housing, we recommend also checking the condition of the impeller and the diffuser’s O-ring seal.
