The drain plug seal is an original rubber O-ring or gasket that seals the drain plug on the body of the ESPA pump. A proper seal prevents water from leaking out of the pump during operation as well as when handling the plug.
The part is compatible with the Niper, Iris, Silen, Silen I, Silen S and NOX models. Regular replacement of this inexpensive seal is a preventive measure that prevents water from dripping beneath the pump and potential damage to the surrounding installation or electric motor.
Replacing the seal is the simplest service task on the pump and can be carried out by any user without specialised training. We recommend keeping a stock of these seals for immediate replacement when a leak is detected.
