The impeller plug for Victoria pumps with a 400 V supply is a left-hand M8 thread ensuring firm fixing of the impeller on the motor shaft. On three-phase pumps a left-hand thread is used deliberately so that the plug does not loosen during operation – the self-locking effect arises from the opposite direction of rotation of the impeller.
A damaged or missing plug can cause the impeller to loosen and the pump to fail. The original part precisely matches the specification of the Victoria pump and guarantees safe function at full performance. Replacing the plug requires no special equipment and is part of the standard pump service.
