The seal for the 1606824 skimmer by Emaux is fitted between the skimmer flange and the liner or concrete wall of the pool and prevents water penetration into the space behind the pool shell. The original seal degrades due to UV radiation, chemistry and mechanical stress during seasonal opening of the pool.
The replacement seal matches the original part exactly in shape and dimensions and is made of EPDM rubber resistant to chlorinated water, ozonation and temperature cycling. We recommend replacing the seal whenever the skimmer is disassembled, so that the joint is reliably watertight.
