The skimmer basket is the first barrier in the path of impurities from the pool water – it captures everything coarse before the water continues to the pump’s pre-filter. Cracked or deformed basket ribs let impurities through and can cause clogging or damage to the pump.
This replacement basket matches the 1606824 skimmer exactly and is made of sturdy ABS plastic. Replacement only takes a moment – you simply pull out the old basket and insert the new one. We recommend cleaning the basket at least once a week and replacing it immediately in the event of visible damage.
