The reducer is an essential fitting wherever the pipe diameter changes or where it is necessary to connect a smooth pipe to a threaded fitting. This reducer covers the transition from d50 to d63 mm with a 2″ female thread.
The PVC-U material resists chlorinated water, pH regulators and disinfectants. The 2″ female thread is standard for many pool pumps, filters and valves, so this fitting is universally usable in various types of installations.
Installation by a glued joint ensures permanent tightness. When gluing, make sure the pipe is correctly inserted into the reducer socket and use certified PVC adhesive and primer for pool installations. The finished joint withstands a permanent pressure of 10 bar at room temperature.
