The six-way valve contains a key rotary piston that switches the flow between the various hydraulic circuits. The piston and cover gaskets gradually wear out and cause internal leaks – the water then no longer follows the selected valve position.
This set contains a complete assembly of gaskets for the Astral 00599 valve, so in a single disassembly you replace all worn elements at once. The gasket material (EPDM or NBR) resists chlorinated water and common pH regulators.
Replacing the gaskets is a suitable service operation at the start of each season or when a leak is detected. The complete set is significantly cheaper than a new valve and the entire operation takes approximately 30–60 minutes for an experienced technician.
