The filter tank collector distributes water evenly across the entire cross-section of the filter sand or glass media. The PTK coupling connects the individual collector arms into a functional unit and must withstand the regular pressure surges during backwashing.
The part is made of chemically resistant plastic compatible with chlorinated water. The precise dimensions and thread type are adapted to a filter tank for public operation, where the collector is stressed by a higher flow than with residential filters.
Replacing the coupling does not require replacing the entire collector – it is enough to empty the tank, dismantle the collector and replace the damaged coupling. Before reassembly, we recommend checking the condition of the other collector couplings and arms.
