This seemingly minor part has a fundamental impact on the proper operation of the entire pump. The screw fixes the impeller onto the motor shaft and prevents its axial movement, which would otherwise cause vibration, noise and rapid wear of the seal.
The screw is made of corrosion-resistant steel or plastic according to ESPA’s manufacturer specification and precisely matches the original part for the Silen T model. Correct tightening to the recommended torque is crucial for reliable pump operation.
We recommend always replacing the screw when removing the impeller, even if it shows no visible damage. The cost of this part is negligible compared to the cost of repairing a pump damaged by a loose impeller.
