The protective cap is at first glance an inconspicuous part, but it is essential for the probe’s service life. When the probe is removed from the flow cell, the electrode membrane must be covered immediately so that it does not dry out and lose measurement accuracy.
The cap contains a protective electrolyte solution or is intended to be filled with the storage solution recommended by the manufacturer Aseko. It fits precisely onto the thread of the pH and redox probe electrodes of the PP60, ASIN Aqua series and other Aseko controllers.
We recommend always keeping a supply of replacement caps and replacing them during every longer pool shutdown. The investment in a cap is a fraction of the price of a new probe, while it significantly extends its functional service life.
