The barrel weight is a metal or plastic part fitted onto the end of the suction tube immersed in a barrel with pool chemicals. By its weight it holds the tube at the bottom of the container, so the pump can pump the preparation without interruption even when the barrel is almost empty.
Without a weight, the suction tube could float to the surface, cause air to be drawn in and interrupt the dosing – with a negative impact on pool water quality. This simple accessory ensures reliable and uninterrupted operation of the automatic dosing system.
The weight is compatible with the standard suction tubes of Aseko systems and can be easily fitted or removed when replacing the barrel. The material is resistant to the acids and alkalis contained in pool chemicals.
