The gasket beneath the prefilter lid of the Emaux SS pump is a rubber ring that ensures a watertight joint between the lid and the prefilter body. Without a properly functioning gasket, water leaks and the pump loses its suction.
The original part is made of a material resistant to chlorinated water, UV radiation and temperature fluctuations. The precise dimensions guarantee correct seating and eliminate any seepage.
Replacing the gasket is the simplest and cheapest service task on the pump. It is recommended to perform it preventively whenever the lid is opened or at the first sign of a water leak.
