The pre-filter basket is a plastic spare part designed for Espa pumps of the Silen range. Its role is to capture coarse impurities — leaves, insects and other solid particles — before they reach the pump impeller.
Regular cleaning and, if necessary, replacement of a damaged basket are key to the long service life of the pump. A clogged or cracked basket reduces water flow and can cause motor overload or cavitation.
