The elbow of 63 mm diameter with a 2″ male thread is a PVC-U fitting for the right-angle redirection of a pipe run with a transition to a threaded connection – suitable wherever the connecting fitting has a 2″ female thread.
As a material, PVC-U is chemically resistant to chlorine, acids and alkaline pH-adjustment products, so the fitting retains its tightness and mechanical strength throughout the entire service life of the pool system.
The combination of socket and male thread simplifies installation at points of transition between glued and threaded pipe systems, where you would otherwise have to combine two or more separate parts.
