The PVC-U plug with a 1″ BSP female thread serves to close unused ports on pool filters, collectors, T-pieces or valve assemblies. The 1″ thread diameter corresponds to a pipe diameter of d32 and is the standard dimension for medium pool fittings.
The plug resists chlorinated water, algicides as well as pH correction agents, without any degradation of the material or leakage. It is easily sealed with Teflon tape and screwed in with a wrench or by hand.
The firm and compact design minimizes the space required when applied to filter or distribution blocks. As a plastic part, the plug is significantly cheaper than the brass alternative while being equally reliable in a pool chemistry environment.
