The PVC-U reducing socket with a 90 mm diameter and a 3″ BSP female thread is a fitting designed for the permanent connection of d90 plastic piping to threaded fittings or devices with a 3″ male thread. It is used especially in larger filtration technologies or as a transition element in industrial water circuits.
The 90 mm diameter with a 3″ thread corresponds to installations with high flow output, where smaller diameters would cause unnecessary pressure losses. The glue socket is bonded into the d90 PVC pipe to create a permanent and firm connection.
The PVC-U design guarantees resistance to aggressive pool agents as well as industrial chemicals. The one-piece socket is a suitable alternative to a two-part union at points where future disconnection is not planned.
