The PVC backing ring d140 is used to create an easily demountable flanged connection on pipework with a diameter of 140 mm in pressurized water installations. The rotating PVC-U collar is fitted onto the pipe or socket and, once placed against the counter-flange, the bolts are tightened to create a solid and tight connection.
The d140 dimension is used in the main trunks of the circulation system of large pool complexes or industrial networks with high flows. The chemical resistance of PVC-U to chlorine, algicides and other additives ensures long-term maintenance-free operation.
The loose design of the collar allows repeated dismantling and reassembly of the connection without damaging the pipework. The standard bolt circle drilling of the flange collar is compatible with d140 counterparts in pool and industrial technology.
