Pre-filter basket of the M-Swim pump

The pre-filter basket is the first line of defence protecting the pump. It captures all coarse dirt – leaves, hair, insects and larger particles – before they could reach the impeller and cause its damage or clogging.

The basket is made of durable polypropylene with fine openings that let water through but capture dirt from approximately 2–3 mm. The sturdy construction with a solid bottom and reinforcements prevents deformation even under strong flow.

Regular cleaning of the basket – ideally once a week during the season – significantly extends the pump’s service life and maintains its full performance. When replacing the basket, we recommend also checking the condition of the seal under the pre-filter lid.
