The Transition Socket Nipple d40–1 PN16 made of PVC-U serves to transition from a d40 plastic pipe installation to a threaded fitting with a 1″ female thread. The 1″ male thread allows direct screw connection of ball valves, check valves or transition unions.
The nominal pressure PN16 ensures reliability in the pressure pipework of a pool filtration system. The d40 solvent-weld socket is firmly joined to the pipe with standard PVC adhesive; the thread is sealed with PTFE tape or silicone thread.
The fitting is suitable for transition points in the plant room of a pool where a rigid d40 PVC pipe needs to be connected to metal or plastic threaded elements with a 1″ female thread.
