The MP 440 TS UV sterilizer is the most powerful variant in the range and is used for the hygienic protection of both pool and drinking water by means of ultraviolet radiation. Disinfection takes place through the photochemical damage of RNA, DNA, proteins and enzymes, that is, entirely without conventional chemical dosing devices.
The polychromatic medium-pressure lamps emit radiation in the range of 185–400 nm independently of temperature. One powerful lamp replaces up to 12 low-pressure monochromatic lamps, which reduces the dimensions and increases the compactness of the device. UV treatment can be combined with chlorination to eliminate the risk of secondary contamination.
