Drop Tester – Cu (Copper)

The drop tester is used to measure the copper content in pool water. Monitoring the copper value is important especially with ionisers, where copper-silver electrodes are dissolved to disinfect the water.

Traces of copper are also contained in some water maintenance products (for example the BST multifunctional tablets), so it is advisable to check this value occasionally.
