The PROFIPOOL winterising agent is a specially formulated chemical product that provides long-term inhibition of algae growth and the formation of mineral cloudiness in the pool water during the winter break.
The agent is dosed at a ratio of 1 litre per 20 m³ of water, with the measured dose diluted with water at a ratio of 1:9 before application and poured evenly along the entire pool edge.
Before application, the water pH must be adjusted to values of 7.0–7.4 and the water level lowered below the level of the skimmer and return jets.
Proper winterising significantly reduces the amount of spring cleaning and chemical treatment, so opening the pool in spring will be faster and less costly. The agent is toxic to aquatic organisms – handle it as hazardous waste.
