The liquid product pH MINUS is used to lower the pH value of pool and hot tub water. The ideal pH is 7.2-7.6 for both chlorine and chlorine-free disinfection, and 7.0-7.4 for oxygen-based chemistry. The effectiveness of most disinfectants depends directly on the pH value. If the pH is too high, calcium precipitates from the water, the water becomes cloudy, allows algae to grow and may irritate the eyes and skin. The product takes the form of yellowish beads that dissolve well in water, and its aqueous solution reacts acidically.
Dosing
The dose depends on the current pH value. 100 g of the product per 10 m³ of water lowers the pH by 0.1. Stir the product in a container with water and add it to the water. Repeat the procedure if necessary until the pH drops into the optimal range after one or two filtration cycles.
