Skimmers & Overflows

Skimmers and overflows bring together over 190 items for drawing water from the surface and the bottom of the pool – complete built-in skimmers for liner, concrete and prefabricated pools, stainless steel versions, floor outlets and spare parts. The brands include Astral (AstralPool), Procopi, Emaux, Hayward, Kripsol, Hugo Lahme, Pahlén and Cofies, along with the SLIM, V10, V20, X600-PRO and Superskimmer ranges and the designer skimmers A400 to A800. In-stock items ship within 48 hours, with shipping across the EU. Types The most common are plastic ABS skimmers with a 15 l or 17.5 l basket. They differ in the width of the suction opening – from 150 × 150 mm and 200 × 150 mm through 200 × 180 mm and 215 × 160 mm up to wide 400 × 200 mm and 400 × 230 mm, which cope better with a surface clogged with leaves. The second distinguishing feature is the throat length: standard 14 cm, extended 24 cm, 31 cm and 41 cm for thicker wall insulation or deeper tile seating. Models with a 6° throat angle handle the connection to the sloped wall of recessed pools. The stainless steel versions in AISI 316 and AISI 316L, including Duplex flanges, are intended for salt and electrolysed water. Stainless steel skimmers of 400 and 600 mm and models with an overflow pool effect form a separate group. Floor outlets PES 350 × 350 mm come in dimensions d75, d90 and d110 with flow rates of 18, 27 and 42 m³/h, also in an antistatic version. How to choose The pool construction decides. For liner pools you need a skimmer with a flange kit and a gasket that clamps the liner; a model without a flange is cast into concrete, and prefabricated pools use a special flange with a cap. In colours, the range covers RAL 1015 (ivory, sand), RAL 7004 (light grey), RAL 7016 (anthracite) and RAL 7037, so you can match the frame to the paving and the liner. Base the number of skimmers on the surface area and the filtration output – the larger the surface and the more leaf fall, the more likely you are to need two or more. Models with brass inserts have threaded outlets more resistant to pulling out than purely plastic ones. If you plan to vacuum through the skimmer, choose a version with a vacuum plate (Skim Vac). What to watch out for Most often it is not the whole skimmer that is bought, but a gasket, flange or door – and these are tied to a specific model (11309, 11310, 11311, 11313, 12309, 12313, 17109, 6824, 1606824). Check the model number before ordering a spare part; baskets, flaps, lids, suction plates and flanges are in the subcategory Skimmer Spare Parts. For overflow pools there is a separate category Overflow Grates & Channels, you complete the return side of the circuit in the category Jets & Outlets and floor suction in the category Suction Fittings. Who this category is for Pool builders during the structural work, service technicians during seasonal repairs, and pool owners looking for a basket or door for a specific model use this category. The shop is run by IDOL SPAS s.r.o., a Czech hot tub manufacturer with its own service team – if you are unsure what to choose, we will advise from experience. We offer service companies and resellers a wholesale programme with individual pricing.
