BESGO valves are pneumatically operated valves powered by air or water pressure in the range of 3–5 bar. The three-way model for nominal bore DN40 / port diameter d50 mm is designed for automating a pool filtration system.
The key feature is maximum operational safety: the valve is opened by the pressure of the medium and closed by spring force. In the event of a power failure, it therefore automatically sets itself to the FILTRATION position, completely eliminating the risk of unintentional draining of the pool.
Switching from FILTER to BACKWASH mode takes place smoothly without interrupting the filtration operation, so no water hammer occurs in the pipework. The valve’s low pressure loss speeds up and increases the efficiency of backwashing the filter media.
The valve is suitable for connection to automatic control systems that can manage the entire filtration cycle unattended.
