The body seal of the ESPA Niper and NOX 25 pump is a shared flat seal placed in the parting plane of the front and rear parts of the pump body of both models.
The role of the seal is to prevent external water leakage and the ingress of air into the pump hydraulics, which would cause a loss of flow and the risk of motor damage from running dry.
A cracked or hardened seal typically manifests itself as wet patches at the joint of the pump body and, at higher pressure, even visible dripping.
Replacement is straightforward from a service point of view – after disassembling the pump body, the old seal is removed, the mating surfaces are cleaned and the new seal is fitted before reassembling the parts.
The original design for the Niper and NOX 25 guarantees dimensional compatibility and immediate tightness without the need for sealing pastes.
