The cooling fan for the ESPA Niper pump is a plastic rotating part fitted onto the rear of the electric motor shaft, whose rotation creates a stream of cooling air through the motor fins.
A correctly functioning fan keeps the temperature of the motor windings within a safe range even at full load during the summer months.
Broken, deformed or missing blades cause insufficient cooling, activation of the thermal protection and repeated pump shutdowns in hot weather.
Replacement is simple – after removing the fan cover, the old fan is pulled off the shaft and the new one is pressed into place and secured with a locking element.
The inexpensive original ESPA part for the Niper range is an affordable prevention against costly repairs of motor windings caused by overheating.
