The disc shaft seal is a rubber sealing element fitted on the shaft of the switching disc of the Emaux TOP series 6-way valve, which prevents pressurised water from penetrating into the control part of the valve.
Wear of this seal manifests itself in dripping or seepage of water from the area of the valve lever and requires immediate replacement to prevent damage to the surrounding installation.
The seal is made of chlorine-resistant rubber and dimensioned for continuous operation at the pressures common in pool filtration systems.
Regular replacement of the seal during the annual filter service significantly extends the overall service life of the valve.
