The drain plug is a small but essential part of the Badu Magic II pump used to manually drain water from the pre-filter chamber and pump body. The yellow colour coding makes the plug easy to identify directly on the pump.
The kit includes both the plug and the matching seal – after replacement the joint is immediately watertight without the need to purchase additional accessories. The material is resistant to pool chemicals and moderate temperatures.
The drain plug is used when winterising the pool, when water must be flushed out of the pump to prevent frost cracking. We recommend inspecting the plug each season and replacing it preventively if necessary.
