Replacement UV lamp with an output of 75 W and a red cap designed for ECO-TECH UV sterilisers. During operation the lamp intensively emits ultraviolet radiation and is hermetically sealed in a housing that does not transmit UV rays.
Principle and application
UV-C radiation is lethally dangerous to the vast majority of organisms, which is why it reliably destroys algae, parasites, fungi, viruses, yeasts and bacteria in water without the use of chemicals. Ultraviolet radiation is invisible electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength of 4-400 nm and a frequency of 10^15-10^17 Hz; it makes up less than 5 % of the solar spectrum and is located between visible light and X-rays. It consists of three components: UVA, UVB and UVC.
