The cooling fan for the ESPA Tifon 1 electric motor is a plastic rotating part mounted on the motor shaft that, during pump operation, drives air across the cooling fins of the motor. Correct cooling is essential for the long-term reliability of the pump’s electric motor.
A damaged or brittle fan (caused by ageing of the plastic or a mechanical impact) must be replaced immediately to prevent overheating and burnout of the motor winding.
