The fan cover is a plastic protective part fitted over the cooling fan of the electric motor of the InverPro pump. It performs a dual function: it mechanically protects the fan against damage and at the same time forms a channel directing the flow of cooling air across the motor.
A damaged or missing fan cover can lead to overheating of the motor or mechanical damage to the fan. Replacing the cover is a preventive measure preventing more costly motor repairs.
The original part is made of strong plastic resistant to UV radiation and outdoor conditions. Installation is straightforward and can be handled by anyone with basic experience in pump repair.
